If you don’t have plans for lunch, grab something at The Scoop or Savannah Moon, and head over to the Library for Memories of Stephen Foster! They’ll have music by Jack Pope, Barbara Lange, Christina Lee + Jim Parker, accompanied by Paul Liljestrand. They’re providing refreshments & dessert!

They’re doing another TEDx dinner – a catered dinner with a short, thought provoking lecture and lively discussion. The topic this time is Oil – Bill Gates unveils where he’s placing his bets in the energy debate and the type of energy that could lead to zero carbon emissions by 2050. In an equally idealistic argument, Amory Lovins (author of Winning the Oil Endgame) argues that we can revitalize the economy by weaning ourselves off oil, and breaks down his plan for doing just that.
